Maria Regina Church is Your Home
If you are new to the area or just visiting, Maria Regina welcomes you! To become a member of our community of faith, please stop by the Parish Office or call us at (310) 323-0030. We pray your time with us is enjoyable and spiritually enriching.
Rev. Sang Tran, Pastor
Registering in a parish is a declaration of your desire to part of a Catholic Community and a commitment to the life of the parish family.
Being a registered parishioner makes things much easier when it is time for infant baptism, school registration, weddings, upon being asked to be a baptismal or confirmation sponsor, and even for funerals.
We are often asked to provide affidavits for baptism and confirmation sponsors. We can only do this when a family or each person is registered, active, and a contributing member of our parish.
If you wish to register with our parish family, please call the Parish Office at (310) 323-0030 or stop by the office to complete a registration form.

Natural Family Planning (NFP) Awareness Week is July 24-30, 2016. The theme is Love, Mercy, Life: Opening the Heart of Marriage. NFP awareness week is a national education campaign of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) to celebrate God’s vision for marriage and promote NFP methods. NFP is an umbrella term for the safe, natural and effective methods of both achieving and avoiding pregnancy. NFP methods teach couples how to know and interpret the woman’s signs of fertility and infertility. In the words of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, NFP methods “respect the bodies of the spouses, encourage tenderness between them and favor the education of an authentic freedom.” (CCC, no. 2370) NFP awareness week dates highlight the anniversary of the papal encyclical Humanae Vitae (July 25) which articulates Catholic beliefs about human sexuality, marriage, conjugal love, and responsible parenthood. We, the People of God, under the patronage of Maria Regina, Queen of Heaven and Earth, are called to be disciples of Jesus Christ in this time and in this place. As members of the Body of Christ we gather to worship at the Altar of the Lord in Word and Eucharist, in which we are nourished. From here we go forth as disciples in the power of the Holy Spirit to make the Good News of Jesus Christ alive in our world.
